Sudanese refugees say Obama broke his promise to them.
Sept. 24, 2010 – by El Marco
A small group of Sudanese former slaves and refugees, both Christians and Muslims, are walking from New York City to Washington, D.C. The walk began on Sept. 15 in front of the United Nations, and will culminate on Capitol Hill on [...]

Focus on the Undecided

W. CLEMENT STONE, in his book, The Success System That Never Fails, said when he first started as a salesman he was spending an inordinate amount of time arguing with people who ended up not buying anything. He expended time and energy on these people with no results. It physically and emotionally wore him out.

So he instituted a rule for himself that if he wasn’t getting anywhere after a pre-determined amount of time, he would just pleasantly cut the conversation short and go onto his next prospect. He would cut his losses and move on, even if he had hope that he might yet change the person’s mind. His new policy created startling results. “Wonderful things happened,” he wrote. “I increased my average number of sales per day tremendously.”

I think we need to be more efficient in that way too.

In a recent Citizen Warrior article (click here to read it), I wrote about a debate conducted by Intelligence Squared. Before the debate they took a poll of the audience. A certain percentage of them were for the proposition that Islam is a religion of peace, and certain percentage were against the proposition, and a certain percentage were undecided.

After the debate those who were for and those who were against hadn’t changed their opinions very much, but a lot of the undecideds changed their opinion to “Islam is not a religion of peace.”

The results of that debate show that we might benefit from using W. Clement Stone’s philosophy and cut our losses when we run across someone whose mind is made up already (unless you have nothing else to do because you’re stuck in a waiting room with them for awhile, or unless you have no other people to talk to and you’ve already convinced everybody you know except those whose minds are already made up).

In other words, let’s first focus our efforts on the people in our lives who haven’t yet made up their minds about Islam. We will make far more progress in far less time. Once all of the undecideds have been educated, then let’s turn our attention to the stubborn ones (approaching the least stubborn first). Let’s be efficient. Let’s be maximally effective. Let’s change the most minds we can in the shortest possible time.

Another added bonus we might get from this policy is that the stubborn ones may become less so. Stone says when he started limiting the amount of time he wasted arguing with people, his daily average went up. “What’s more,” he wrote, “the prospect in several instances thought I was going to argue, but when I left him so pleasantly, he would come next door to where I was selling and say, ‘You can’t do that to me. Every other insurance man would hang on. You come back and write it.’ Instead of being tired out after an attempted sale, I experienced enthusiasm and energy for my presentation to the next prospect.”

It’s possible that the tremendous stubbornness we sometimes run into may ease up when we stop pushing so hard. Doing something unexpected can often cause a change in mental and emotional patterns. Pleasantly ending an argument without winning may be just the sort of surprising maneuver that could help change someone’s mind.

But in the meantime, you’ll be focusing your attention on where you can have the most impact.

JUAN GONZALEZ: The Justice Department has told a federal appeals court there was more than enough untainted evidence to justify a trial for five Blackwater Worldwide guards involved in the 2007 Nisoor Square massacre in Baghdad. In December, Federal Judge Ricardo Urbina dismissed all charges against the Blackwater guards. But in court papers seeking to reinstate criminal charges,

In my article Is Muhammad Mentioned by Name in the Hebrew Bible? I showed that it is absurd to believe that Mohammed is mentioned by name in the Song Of Song because the Hebrew word for delight sounds close to the Arabic name Mohammed.

Instead of quietly admitting defeat and slinking away, Shahzeb left a comment insisting that if the Jews had not altered the text that “there would not had been these arguments about which book is from Allah or what is the true message.”

It is quite astonishing that Muslims are so desperate to authenticate Mohammed as the final prophet in a long line of prophets in the Torah, that they are willing to “find” his name in an erotic poem where breasts and thighs are adored and desired. Have they no shame?

I am surprised that Muslims have not claimed that even the ancient Greeks believed in the coming of Mohammed. In the photo above we see a statue of the mythological satyr Pan using a goat for sex. But would it be far-fetched for a Muslim to insist that it is Mohammed shagging the goat, not some creature called Pan? After all, Pan has been described as radiant and ruddy, and haven’t Islamic exegetists already told us that Mohammed was radiant and ruddy? 1

Since Islam makes it impossible for Muslim men to have sex unless they are married, sex with goats is a favorite pastime with horny Muslims. Get it, horny, like Pan? See my article on Saudi Arabia holding its first ‘beautiful goat’ pageant.

So here’s the deal Shahzeb: tell me that you believe it is Mohammed in that statue and I’ll concede the point – yes, I believe the Greeks did indeed foretell the coming of Mohammed in that statue.

This reminds me of an old Muslim joke:

Mullah Nasruddin and Rabbi Moishe were traveling through the desert.

It was so hot that the air was shimmering. In the distance they saw something black on the ground.

Rabbi Moishe said, “It’s a vulture.”

Mullah Nasruddin said, “No, it’s a goat.”

They drew closer, still arguing over what it was. Rabbi Moishe threw a rock at it. It flapped its wings and lifted into the air.

“See!” said Rabbi Moishe. “I told you it was a vulture.”

“That doesn’t prove anything,” Mullah Nasruddin replied. “It could be a goat with wings.”

Ah, Muslims. Instead of admitting they are wrong, they will say anything.

(1):

Imam Reza (A.S.) Network, Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) Foretold in the Bible

The word “white/radiant” does not signify some spiritless, morbid, or deadly whitish colour. It rather stands for brightness, brilliance, and beauty of the countenance and sound health. The word “ruddy” means “to show blood (in the face), i.e. flush or turn rosy: be red”. The combination of both these words, i.e. “white and ruddy” depicts a comely figure of healthiness, strength, beauty and brightness. It reflects the exact features of the Prophet of Islām.

In times of recession, Gulf expatriates risk jobs to campaign for polls in Kerala

gulf-expatriates1Gulf expatriates from Kerala are taking an unusual and a daring step now particularly in these turbulent times when the world is in the grip of economic recession. The Gulf expatriates have their own reason to do so. The global economic recession has also hit the Gulf countries hard, particularly the UAE. A significant number of expatriates have lost their jobs or are in the process of losing them. They see the upcoming parliamentary elections as most important enough. Most of the expatriates feel that electing an efficient and able parliamentarian their problem of joblessness will be effectively handled.

These days one can witness thousands of expatriates from Gulf countries heading back to their home in Kerala to aggressively campaign in the general elections. Most of the expatriates have even gone to the extent of risking their jobs by coming to their home on leave without salaries. They are unsure whether they will continue in their jobs after going back when the poll process is over. It is just three weeks ago that the expatriates began thronging to their homes. By the last days of elections it is expected that the number of expatriates having reached India will cross one lakh.

Kerala, being a politically vibrant state, is abuzz with the usual hustle and bustle of electioneering these days. The election frenzy can be seen in the Muslim-dominated district of Malappuram which also has maximum expatriates from Gulf. The elections will be held in Malappuram in the first phase on April 16. Recently, more than 300 expatriates took part in motorbike rallies and processions. These have become part of regular election campaign activity.

Almost all the major political parties such as the Indian National Congress (INC), Communist Party of India (CPI) and the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) are taking support of the Gulf expatriates. It may be noted that the Gulf expatriates are working under the banner of cultural organizations like INC-led Indian Cultural Congress (ICC), CPI-led Kerala Pravasi Sangamam (KPS) and IUML-led Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC). The Gulf expatriates chip in with their money and organize cultural activities to help these political parties during times of elections. Moreover, other expatriates are also encouraged to become members of these cultural organizations.

According to Ismail, President of KMCC, Riyadh Centre, at least 7,000 members of the KMCC are currently in Malappuram and helping the party in the elections. He says that for the Gulf expatriates taking part in the elections is a matter of pride as well as their responsibility.

KUWAIT-POLITICS-RIGHTS-LABOUR

M.J. Mohamed Iqbal, an expatriate living in Dubai for long, said, “Every expatriate should actively take part in the electoral process. In the present times of global recession this has become all the more important. A significant number of expatriates have now lost their jobs and are headed for troubled times. If good representatives are not elected to the Indian parliament then the cause of the troubled expatriates will not be effectively handled. We spend money and help these parties in the elections. We hope that the parties and the elected representatives will stand by us in these crucial times.”

According to reports nearly 25,00,000 Keralites have immigrated to several countries to take up lucrative jobs with 90 percent of them being settled in Gulf countries. Around Rs. 200 billion is remitted from Gulf countries to banks in Kerala every year.

Photo Essay compares 25th Annual Muslim Day Parade with previous years & a look ahead…

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

Twenty Five years of  the Annual Muslim Day Parade in New York City. TWENTY FIVE YEARS!

Shouldn’t they be CELEBRATING?

DSCN3370 copyright

Why are they complaining? Each year the confidence of the Muslim community has grown…. even if they pretend otherwise…it has grown.

DSCN3289 copyright

Yet they snuck this anniversary year in under the radar. No theme announced as usual (which appears to be da’wah) and there was  confusion caused by  announcing their  as 41st street but actually setting up at 38th (even the police seemed a bit confused).

DSCN3233 copyright

They assembled at 38th (not 41st) and waited for traffic to be shut down….

DSCN3235 copyright

The lovely golden gown, is a man. Couldn’t place what culture that attire represents.

Guess the red hair is the same as a red beard? All was calm.

DSCN3244 copyright

So calm, they even  added  a Wudu basin this year. A BOLD addition, which can be seen in the distance in our parade video but we are most thankful  to Urban Infidel for this picture.

The police and the parade participants all were VERY relaxed. Not that they were tense in the past years, but their attitude this year was definitely laid-back (except for the flurry of anxiety begging the police to close the intersection to traffic. They were on-the-clock for their zuhr mid-day prayers).

Even so, there was lots of waiting….

DSCN3313 copyright 1

DSCN3314 copyright 2

DSCN3318 copyright

Everyone continues to wait  calmly while a big communal display was made of laying-out the prayer-tarps (finally).

DSCN3279 copyright

The Imam was in-a-rush, so he started the prayers and asked everyone to please pay attention while they laid out the tarps

DSCN3269 copyright

LOTS of tarps (layers) on both sides of the intersection of 38th and Madison Avenue

DSCN3281 copyright

This young  lady-in pink, however,  does NOT look happy.

DSCN3271 copyright

DSCN3272 copyright

And then, the actual prayers. (almost).  First we heard lots of “brothers and sisters” and “insha’allah’s” while they kept being instructed and corrected on how to form a straight line!

The Men:

DSCN3290 copyright

The Women:

DSCN3284 copyright

And the children (the boys)

DSCN3300 copyright

The girls….

DSCN3299 copyright

The separation of the women and the men.

DSCN3294 copyright

For the “Brothers and Sisters” (Insha’allah) that’s quite a divide….

After the “Warm and Fuzzy” prayers….(video)

The “Warm and Fuzzy” Parade (except for some of those more militant chants) which you can see and HEAR in the next  two videos  (Parts 6 and 7 are the parade) .

The parade started with flags. Lots of flags

Followed by the Police Marching Band  playing, as always: “This Is My Country”.

DSCN3316 copyright

Part 6 (video-the Parade):

The RELIGIOUS Floats return each year. Do we have any major parade in Manhattan  that’s comparable ? So boldly religious? Can’t think of any.

DSCN3320 copyright

DSCN3322 copyright

snapshot_011 copyright

The religious theme continued in their signs  with many peace-loving quotes from that “warm and fuzzy” guy: Muhammad.

snapshot_002 copyright

snapshot_009 copyright

snapshot_008 copyright

But, there were, also, the political statements from the younger marchers in this religiously, political parade.

DSCN3248 copyright

snapshot_001 copyright

With much thanking  of  Obama  along with chants of “We are the Muslims. The Mighty, Mighty Muslims” Definitely a religious/political event.

DSCN3329 copyright

snapshot_017 copyright

Always many banners  of schools march in  the parade….

snapshot_003 copyright

Some of these girls sure looked like the Catholic nuns of old.

snapshot_006 copyright

Mayor Bloomberg did NOT co-operate this year when it came to the familiar push to add Muslim Religious Holidays to the school calendar.

snapshot_004 copyright

Yet,  the ‘honorable’ Mayor Bloomberg still managed to be  thanked ….over and over… in the speech/lectures at parade’s end.

Cabby Society(? ) Since there seems to be no non-Muslim taxi drivers any more,

I guess this makes sense. But, it’s also NON-political (in case you wondered)…

DSCN3243 copyright

Part 7  is also video is of the parade as it continued down Madison Avenue  to Madison Square Park.

At the park, there was the ever popular Da’wah Table

(The full array of FREE brochures is in the video)

snapshot_016 copyright

A few of the FREE da’wah brochures (which also included FREE Qurans)

DSCN3444 copyright

Another parade banner to encourage the  INTENDED  converts

(Would that be: YOU?)

snapshot_012 copyright

There was this happy flag-waving  Lawrence-of-Arabia look-a like.

(Wish I knew his back-story)

snapshot_007 copyright

And at the stage, there was a “one-man-band” who screamed  “takbir, takbir, takbir” in every open space he could find. Before and after the speech/lectures,  book-ending speeches and songs , he never let-up  yet he never lost his voice!

That is NOT a yawn, caught him mid-takbir…

And those speaker/lecturers, they stayed ‘on-message’ .

Team-work, so we got lots of  whining about being victims of racist, islamophobic, bigots.

DSCN3363 copyright

During the introductions, the MC kept requesting different leaders of the community to come to the stage.

On film, we happened to catch one woman interrupting the MC with, “Where are the women? Where are the women leaders.”

She seemed to be getting no response so she added, “Keep that in mind. Where are the women”.

No surprise, the women weren’t suddenly added to his list  as he continued introducing the male leaders…

DSCN3348 copyright

Noticed  the usual assortment of city politicians were absent this year. No Mayor Bloomberg though he did send a Muslim American woman as his representative (we had seen her represent the Mayor previously at a screening of “What a Billion Muslims Think”)

Fatima Shama - Mayor Bloomberg’s Office of Immigrant Affairs. As Commissioner of the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, Commissioner Shama currently serves as Senior Education Policy Advisor in the Mayor’s Office, where she previously served as the Health Literacy and Language Access Coordinator.

Born in the Bronx to immigrant parents – her mother is Brazilian and her late father was “Palestinian” – (That night she was all about The Hair )

However, today she pulled her hair back. Took on a whole ‘nother look as she presented the mayor’s annual award to the parade where he  declared  this date as “Muslim Parade Day” (again)

DSCN3374 copyright

Missing this year were some familiar friends of the parade.

Councilman Robert Jackson (Muslim Convert) who, in 2007,  proclaimed Harlem the Mecca of New York City and  Workers Party, John Liu (now the City Comptroller and we understanding  predisposed to make sure the Ground Zero Mosque gets its funding) Where was John? (this is Liu last year, in 2009)

And ‘WHERE OH WHERE’  was the Workers Party, Margaret Chin (who so recently accused her consituents of being  islamaphobic-racist-  bigots.) Now she’s shy?

Mysteriously, our personal favorite had gone AWOL:  ‘Crazy’ Rabbi Feinberg! (Here’s  that “Wild and Crazy Rabbi” sharing his warm-and-fuzzy thoughts at an anti-war rally in Union Square)

Nutcase

Feinberg (with umbrella) was  having a much BETTER day in 2009…..

Was it easier to whine and play the victim with their dhimmi-politicians  missing? No matter, they did make sure that they offered-up the requisite  dhimmi-Priest, an even MORE dhimmifide -Rabbi and, “The Imam”.

PART 1  (video) includes the National Anthem (which required urgent crowd instructions before they started)

Video of the speakers from CAIR, ICNA, MAS and the Islamic Cultural Center of New York (who LOVES to rewrite American  history). More friends of the parade…

Part 2 – ICNA, MAS  & the Islamic Cultural Center of New York

Part 3- CAIR  (Nihad Awad)

What was unique to this year’s parade?

This year, most  families came  dressed in  their cultural finery. It was quite lovely at times. The theme? The fashionable, pretty women; the  lovely sweet children. Cultural Pride? Diversity. Muslim Pride? But, then we come back to OUTREACH .  Da’wah. There is nothing to fear. Join us. We are all ONE.

DSCN3261 copyright

DSCN3260 copyright.

DSCN3240 copyright

Apparently, the families did have one complaint. They kept  asking for the childrens’ activities. The MC responded  more than once saying soon…be patient….But the speech/lectures went on-and-on and ON.

DSCN3413 copyright

DSCN3422 copyright

DSCN3404 copyright

The families weren’t expecting all these media-directed speeches/lectures.

But, the messages were aimed at them, too, not just the media.  The repetition about victim-hood, alluding to fear.  Urging them to BE AFRAID of those racist, bigoted Americans.

We know why many of these people immigrated to America. Fear brought them to our shores and it wasn’t fear of America or Americans . The American Dream .”  “Give me your Tired and Poor” . These do  not translate as,” Come to America so you can  live in FEAR of Sharia Law. “

FACT: The number of Muslims living in the New York City  is growing.

They live here as freely as anyone else in America.

Certainly freer than they do in their Muslim countries of origin , forced to live under Sharia Law.

DSCN3257 copyright

DSCN3264 copyright

DSCN3265 copyright

As Americans, the average Muslim family may not care about politics-as -usual but their college-aged 20-somethings do. They are VERY political thanks to CAIR, ICNA, MAS, the Muslim Brotherhood.

All  work hard at indoctrinating the children and the youth (the next generation)

They need them as the next wave, to be LEADERS  in their/our communities.

DSCN3327 copyright

The men and the youth (male and female) marched  in the parade to the shouts of “FIGHT BACK , FIGHT BACK, FIGHT BACK ” and “We are the Muslims , the Mighty, Mighty Muslims” as well as to the religious chants of “Takbir, Takbir, Takbir.”

(Urban Infidel caught even more of  t-shirts here>>)

T
he speaker/lecturers  encouraged the audience  to “ Make a CHANGE.”

They want the adults to “Get Involved”. To show everyone  what it means to be a Muslim.

To vote. To become  media savvy so they can control the message. To  ‘assimilate’.

snapshot_013 copyright

Then the  da’wah continued with  the lovely, sweet childrens’ choirs…

Flickr link to 2010 Parade is here>>

What follows is a short comparison/recap of the previous years that we recorded and observed of the parade (2007, 2008 and 2009)

2007 was the first year I saw the parade. It  was on September 9, The 22nd Annual Muslim Day Parade.

2007 Flickr link is here>>

2007 was, also,  the  year  we discovered the NYC Intifada t-shirt and questioned what textbooks were to be used at the newly announced  Brooklyn Arabic language school, Kahlil Gibran International Academy..

The Khalil Gibran International Academy (a public school with an all Imam advisory board) left many FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) questions unanswered. But, the American public experienced a “Great Awakening” ; no longer willing to accept the obfuscation that surrounded this public school.WE FOUGHT BACK.

In 2007 there were many people who came out to protest the Annual Muslim Day Parade. (perhaps it was the first protest against the parade) The protestors  lined up at 25th and Madison to the surprise of many and added to this public protest were the very angry and threatening Revolution Muslims.

(BTW- In 2008 we took this now well-known picture of the “Jersey Jihadi”. The “Death to all Juice ” guy, Carlos Almonte, while he hung with the Revo-Muzzies in front of the Israeli Consulate). The Revolution Muslims…. are NOT a “Warm and Fuzzy” group of Muslims.

Back to 2007 which was only 6 years after the murders at Ground Zero by Muslim Jihadis and yet hate-groups like the Revolution Muslims, these militant Jew-hating Muslims were on the corner of 26th and Madison preaching racist, bigoted hatred of AMERICA,protected by their Constitutional Right to Free-Speech.

Link to the blog report on 2007 parade is here>>

NEXT- 2008

We understand the dates of the Muslim Day Parade had been consistent for years, but after the 2007 parade the dates began to float; perhaps because of the protests of 2007?

So on October 12, 2008 , the date on which Muslim Jihadists attacked the USS Cole, an American ship in Yemen and  murdered American sailors…. on this date they chose to hold the 23rd Annual Muslim Day Parade with no mention of the USS Cole .

It was also Columbus Day (a coincidence, they claimed)

Both years, 2007 and 2008, the  Revolution Muslims spoke out aggressively to all who passed-by, but even more boldly in 2008 when they came-over to our-side, to a  group of women and started a confrontation.

It was most unusual that the police ignored them, but they showed  little interest  in sending the Revo-Muzzies back across the street until one of ours threw COFFEE on the lead instigators!

Two links with pictures and video from 2008 are here>> and here>>

And – 2009

October 18, 2009 was the 24th Annual Muslim Day Parade. Their annual parade was held with no protests. A little rain but it seems everyone who protested on 2007 and 2008 lost interest.  This  year the vile Revolution Muslims are IN the parade. (without incident) The parade went off without a hitch as it had even during the two protest years.

The CENSUS was the theme in 2009.

from video

BEING COUNTED.

from video

IT’S IN YOUR HANDS.

The pressure to be counted in the wake of the ACORN fraud was  an unfortunate theme.

But, the press let that slide so… who knew?

This year (2009) I was told, by the police, to stop taking pictures of the set-up for prayers.

I was making the Muslims nervous.

I was intruding on their privacy; making them, their families, nervous. At a PARADE?!

Blog report of 2009 is here>>

This  parade has one goal only, year after year: To encourage the trust of the America public in all things Muslim.

BUT, WE MUST NEVER FORGET The Horrors of Islam

Simon Deng and the Sudan. Slavery. Children torn from their families. Murder. Torture. In the 21st Century!

Iran. Islam has been destroying the Persian culture and it’s history for centuries The mullahs  and Ah’jad have imprisoned an entire country.  Tortured and murdered by the thought-police.

The Islamists  strive to destroy the Jews, to destroy Israel (even the displaced peoples of Trans-Jordan) ALL are victims of Islam.

Islam has terrorized the Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists and Pakistan. Islam.  A country born on the wings of genocide.Working to tearing India and its culture apart.

France, England,Denmark .The Netherlands . EUROPE is waving a red-flag , warning us of Sharia. “Submission” is blowing in the wind States-Side.

The Ground Zero Mosque and  the sobering confidence of Sharia Law proponents Daisy Kahn and Imam Rauf . They claim that  Sharia Law is already in our Constitution. they ask why do we think Sharia  no place in our country? It’s HERE.

NEVER FORGET the suffering of those murdered on 9-11 in the name of Islam and those who have suffered and continue to suffer in Egypt: The Coptic Christians, and in  Greece : The Orthodox and The Armenians.

The centuries of never-ending  destruction to the  Holy Land.  The beautiful Churches and Synagogues of Europe and the Middle East. At Ground Zero,  St Nicholas  Church was  destroyed by Islam.  In the 21st Century!  ALL have suffered…

In 2010,  as I watched  the people from Azerbijan/Boznia march-by (and whose children sang so sweetly on the stage) there was an obvious  cultural question to be asked.

DSCN3382 copyright

These were not a people who would have chosen to be Muslim. It was not their culture.

This was conversion by sword. Is this is our future (by stealth or by sword)  if we don’t FIGHT BACK?

DSCN3391 copyright

Will next year’s “26th Annual Muslim Day Parade“  have even more significance with  the groundbreaking of the “Victory Ground Zero/Cordoba Initiative/Park51 Mosque” ?

Will  2011 mark the end of the 10 year HUDNA? Will that be the year Islam claims VICTORY?

Our media is suckered, our government is suckered; eager shills for the Islamists. CAIR, MAS, ICNA, these are organizations with a verifiable history of supporting violence .Yet, the parade, our government and the media  accept them as peace-loving and deny the horrors of Sharia Law and forced-conversions of Islam.

We have  a duty  to protect our freedoms for our children and our childrens’ children as guaranteed in our Constitution.

Submission is their goal.

If we permit them to shut us down, to remain or to become complacent, we will have lost the “WAR Against the WEST”

We must FIGHT BACK without apology or we become Europe.

This is  WAR.

America Created Her Own Enemies

There are many examples throughout history of nations forced by circumstance to make pacts with peoples who later became their enemies. For instance, in the year 376 A.D., tens of thousands of Goths arrived on the Danube River, on the border of the Roman Empire, begging for asylum from the Huns. The Roman emperor Valens allowed them to settle on the south bank of the Danube to counter the Huns’ expansionist aims in the Western Roman Empire.

A year later famine struck and the Goths began plundering food throughout the Empire. Open revolt led to the Gothic War (376–382) and by the end of the war, the Goths had killed the emperor Valens, destroyed a Roman army and laid waste to so much of the Roman Balkans that it never recovered. Less than a century later, the Western Empire collapsed under the continued invasions of barbarians.

During the Second World War we made a pact with the Soviets. Innstantly after the war they became our enemies for more than four decades. The Cold War ended because Ronald Reagan expanded the U.S. military budget to a staggering 43% increase over what we spent during the height of the Vietnam war, bankrupting the Soviets who tried to keep up with us.

To counter the Soviets in Afghanistan we supported the Mujahideen with training, money and weapons. The mistake the US made was not to stay in Afghanistan after the Soviets withdrew leaving the fate of the country to Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Pakistan made deals with warlords and later the Taliban that strengthened those forces. Saudi Arabia funded Islamic religious schools in Pakistan in which Afghan refugees studied and from which almost all Taliban came from. So in this case, although we did not support those who became the Taliban, we did allow Saudi Arabia to spread her filthy religion throughout the region.

We supported Saddam Hussein in the 1980s with military and financial aid to counter the expansion of revolutionary Iran’s influence in the region.

Muslims enjoy leaving comments that the US created her own enemies who would later attack our embassies in East Africa in 1998 and the WTC in 1993 and 2001. In this manner, they hope to deflect any blame for those attacks by Muslims. It wasn’t Muslims, you see, it was terrorists we created, people who, if we didn’t turn them into killers would have been peaceful shopkeepers and tailors, minding their own business.

For 1400 years, Islamic murderers, rapists, and barbarians have been plaguing the world with their violent and brutal oppression, an oppression against unbelievers which the Quran instructs them to perpetrate.

Now they have to nerve to say that all that history does not exist, that Islam has been at peace with the world all these centuries and only because of the actions of the Crusader-Zionist alliance do we see otherwise peaceful Muslims turned into unwilling killers.

If I had a nickel for every Muslim who says Islam is the religion of peace, I would have million. And I would turn down every nickel if only there were no followers of Islam on Earth.

Voters say no to sharia in … Oklahoma?

Monday, December 14th, 2009

If you happen to get caught shop lifting in the U.S. state of Oklahoma, rest assured — you won’t lose a limb as punishment.

Voters in the conservative state bordering Texas approved a measure on Tuesday that will forbid judges of the state’s courts from considering or using sharia (Islamic law) when deciding cases. And they did so by a whopping margin of 70 to 30 percent.

For the record, sharia is currently not the law of the land in Oklahoma, but local media reports say the measure’s backers wanted it in place to pre-empt any such moves.

State Question no. 755 included the following wording:

“ This measure amends the State Constitution. It changes a section that deals with the courts of this state. It would amend Article 7, Section 1. It makes courts rely on federal and state law when deciding cases. It forbids courts from considering or using international law. It forbids courts from considering or using Sharia Law.”

There is a lot of suspicion of Islam in the American heartland but is it fair to ask: is such a measure really necessary? What do you think?

TV talk show tunes in to Indian election drama

Charges, counter-charges and baseless allegations marked the ‘Gulf Samvadham’ talk show recording on coming Indian parliamentary polls. Tempers ran high at the two-hour show hosted by the Malayalam television channel Kairali at the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC).

Some members of the audience came close to blows more than once, but mayhem was averted after the timely intervention of senior members of the community. The event demonstrated that a number of participants had absolutely no knowledge of Indian politics and were more interested in rhetoric to catch the attention of the TV camera.

However, there were some exceptions. Indian Cultural and Arts Society (Incas) president K K Usman made a strong defence of Indian National Congress’ decision to field former UN deputy under secretary general Shashi Tharoor as the party candidate from Thiruvananthapuram.

Tharoor has demonstrated his abilities at various levels and forums at the world level and has made his stand clear on a number of issues concerning the non-resident Indians,” Usman said.

He lambasted some of those who questioned the credentials of the former UN official to stand as Congress candidate.

Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC) general secretary S A M Basheer said the parent organisation of the KMCC had made its position clear on not only those issues concerning the Muslims in India, but also expressed solidarity with the victims of Israeli aggression in Palestinian territories.

Indian Muslim Cultural Centre (IMCC) spokesperson Usman Parakkadavu opined that the future of India is in the hands of the Third Front, which he predicted would play a crucial part after the elections.

Journalist Ashraf Thoneery and representatives of forums including as Sanskriti, Indian Islamic Association (IIA) and People’s Cultural Forum also participated. Kairali’s regional bureau chief E M Ashraf was the moderator.
