Mending Our Flag

Mending the Flag

Here we see Norman Rockwell’s cover illustration for the Literary Digest celebrating Memorial Day, 1922, entitled “Mending the Flag.”

I doubt if anyone mends flags anymore; hell, another few years of Liberals like Obama in the White House and flag-waving itself may be looked upon as a shameful thing.

On this Memorial Day, I believe this nation needs mending. Our country is broken. Liberal policies, entitlement programs, confiscatory taxes, support of unions, etc., are bankrupting cities, states, and this nation.

While I myself will profit immensely from the coming economic collapse (see my articles Why I`m a Gold Bug and President Barack H. Obama will make me Rich), it does sadden me that our fallen heroes gave their lives for a country that in another few decades may no longer exist.

They gave their lives to prevent foreign invaders from reaching our shores yet we close our eyes to a daily onslaught of foreign invaders although today we call them undocumented aliens.

Hitler wasted time, money and effort building up a military to take over the world. Instead all he needed to do was donate to the campaigns of Liberal Democrats who would have gladly done the business of destroying our country as they are doing now.

The Golden Rule in Islam

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

ISLAM’S apologists say that Islam just needs a reform. After all, Christianity and Judaism have been reformed. But the apologists never get around to saying what the reform would be.

There are many kinds of reform possible to Islam, but does anyone care if they reformed prayer by praying towards LA rather than Mecca? No. The only thing that kafirs care about is how Islam treats us. We want our treatment changed. We want political Islam reformed.

Islam’s treatment of us can be found in one word — kafir. The Koran says that a kafir (unbeliever) can be robbed, killed, tortured, mocked, insulted, beheaded, raped, crucified and on and on. The Hadith and the Sira agree with the Koran. Every single reference to the kafirs is negative, offensive and hateful.

The word “kafir” illustrates both of political Islam’s principles — submission and duality. The Trilogy (Koran, Sira and Hadith) says that every kafir in the world must submit to political Islam.

The Koran also establishes dualism with its ethical system. A Muslim is not to kill another Muslim; a kafir may be killed, or not. A Muslim is not to lie to another Muslim; a kafir may be deceived or not. And so on. Islam has one set of ethics for Muslims and another set of ethics for the kafir — dualistic ethics.

The later political Koran written in Medina frequently contradicts the early religious Koran written in Mecca. The Koran gives a rule for removing the contradiction by saying that the later Koran “abrogates” the early Koran. But the earlier Koran is still true; it was given by Allah. So in Islam both sides of a contradiction can be true. This gives Islam its dualistic logic. Our unitary logic says that if two things contradict, then one of them is false

This dualism accounts for the two types of Muslims — the good Muslim at work and the Taliban Muslim. Both Muslims are “real” Muslims. Dualism gives the “good” Muslim plausible deniability when they say that jihadists are not “real” Islam. Dualism means the “good” Muslims and the jihadists are just two ends of the same stick.

The Koran, Sira and Hadith are filled with demands for all kafirs to submit to Islam. Kafirs can submit by joining the religion or submit by being a dhimmi (an apologist). Either way, the Koran constantly demands that all kafirs submit to Islam.

So what kafirs want to reform about Islam is its principles of political submission and duality. What principle can be used to reform Islam? The key is how Islam treats the “other” — the kafir. The Golden Rule tells us how the “other” is to be treated. Every culture in the world has the Golden Rule as part of its heritage. But not Islam.

So what happens if we apply — treat others, as you want to be treated — to political Islam? All of the hurtful, hateful and harmful duality and submission disappear. What is amazing is how much of the Islamic doctrine goes away. About 61% of the Koran disappears. The Sira loses 75% of its words and 20% of the Hadith vanishes.

And those figures are low. All of the abusive words about women would go away as well. So the above reductions would be even bigger.

The Golden Rule even changes Hell. Islamic Hell is primarily political. Hell is mentioned 146 times in the Koran. Only 9 references are for moral failings — greed, lack of charity, love of worldly success. The other 137 references to Hell involve eternal torture for not agreeing that Mohammed is right. That is a political charge, not a morals failure. Thus 94% of the references to Hell are as a political prison for dissenters. The Golden Rule would empty the political prison.

Think how wonderful a Golden Rule Islam would be. No arguments, demands, accusations, law suits, threats, pressure, hateful speech, killings, or bombings. A Muslim could even be a true friend to a kafir. Islam would develop a sense of shame and admit to the terrible suffering of the 270,000,000 kafirs killed in jihad. A Golden Rule Islam would ask forgiveness about all the suffering of the dhimmis. A Golden Rule Islam would also admit to running the slave trade in Africa by killing and capturing the slaves they sold to the white slave traders.

Women would not have to be beaten and wear the hijab or burka. Honor killings would stop. Muslims could join us in the human race.

But all of those wonderful thoughts vanish when you realize what else it would mean to Islam. Mohammed had only 150 followers in Mecca after preaching the religion for 13 years. But when he went to Medina and became a politician and warlord, he conquered all of Arabia in 9 years by averaging a violent event every 6 weeks.

Duality and political submission were the principles that gave Islam its victory. Why would Islam drop the only principles that yielded success? Duality and political submission have crushed the world that believes in the Golden Rule.

CSPI could produce a Koran, Sira and Hadith that would use the Golden Rule. It would be a thin volume, but what Muslim would buy it?

The Difference Between North Korea and Muslim Countries

Monday, May 30th, 2011

Muslims out to kill Christians
Photo: Amazon Book – Sword of Islam

In last Thursdays’ article The 13 Worst Countries for Christian Persecution, we noted without discussion that “Despite communist North Korea topping the list for the ninth consecutive year, the most dangerous countries in which to practice Christianity are overwhelmingly Islamic ones.

But is there a difference between North Korea and Muslim countries? Isn’t persecution the same whether by a Muslim country or not? Actually, yes to the first and no to the second question; North Korea, and Laos as well, persecute Christians not because they despise Christianity, but because they despise all religions. The persecution there is done by the governments, not by the people themselves.

For example, North Korea’s major religion, if one had the freedom to practice religion, is Buddhism. But Buddhists do not go out burning, raping, murdering Christians. However in Muslim countries, it is Muslims who go out burning, raping, murdering Christians whether sanctioned by their governments or not.

North Korea as a government is doing the persecuting while in Iran or Afghanistan, in Uzbekistan or Iraq, in Pakistan or Somalia, it is Muslims who are doing the persecuting. North Korean officials, not North Korean people, are doing the persecuting while Persian and Pashtun Muslims, Uzbek and Arab Muslims, Punjabi and Somali Muslims are doing the persecuting.

It is North Korean policy and practice to restrict the practice of all religions.

It is Muslim policy and practice to restrict the practice of all religions other than Islam.

It is one thing when the government doesn’t want you to practice your religion, it is another when your neighbors, friends or relatives (see photo above right) do not want you to practice a religion other than Islam.

Referendum in Catholic Malta backs introduction of divorce

Monday, May 30th, 2011

(Valletta skyline, 27 October 2005/Brian Gotts)

Staunchly Catholic Malta approved the introduction of divorce, backing the move by a small majority in a referendum. “The referendum outcome is not the one I wished for, but the will of the majority will be respected and parliament will enact legislation for the introduction of divorce,” Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi said in a video statement on Sunday.

The vote was seen as a test of the influence of the Roman Catholic Church in a country where 72 percent of people say they go to Mass on Sundays and nearly all marriages are held at the altar. The Mediterranean island of 400,000 people is the only country in Europe not to allow divorce.
Early results from Saturday’s referendum showed a majority backing divorce of between 52 percent and 54 percent. The Divorce Movement declared victory and the anti-divorce movement conceded.
Opposition leader Joseph Muscat had said changing the law was a vote for modernity and a chance for those with broken marriages to start afresh. Gonzi had said divorce offered “no solutions” and called for better preparation before weddings so that the “value of an indissoluble marriage is bequeathed to the young.”
Divorce legislation was proposed in July last year by Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando, a member of Gonzi’s own parliamentary group. It provides for people to become eligible for divorce after four years of separation.

The Quick Guide to Religions

Unity of The World Religions

One of the problems I find in today’s American schools is that political correctness prevents educators from properly teaching the basic differences among the various major religions.

So for the edification of my readers I offer this quick and succinct guide to religions.

No long-winded treatises, no boring and useless dogma. What follows* is the essence for each religion.

But I should warn you: in order to get to the essential nature of a particular faith, it was necessary to use vulgar speech. So continue at your own risk.

Catholicism: if shit happens, I deserve it.

Protestantism: shit won’t happen if I work harder.

Judaism: why does this shit always happen to me?

Buddhism: when shit happens, is it really shit?

Hinduism: this shit happened before.

Hare Krishna: shit happens Ramah Lama Ding Dong.

Rastafarianism: lets smoke this shit!

and finally Islam: if shit happens, it is the fault of the filthy Jews.

The 13 Worst Countries for Christian Persecution

Friday, May 27th, 2011

We often read that CAIR, a known supporter of terrorism, likes to promote the fiction that Muslims in the West are victims of hate crimes. This, of course, is a complete lie. Most of the so-called hate crimes against Muslims are frauds and deceptions by Muslims themselves. (1)

Any careful reader of world news knows that the great majority of religious persecution in the world is directed at Christians and Jews.

Consider the following: “Despite communist North Korea topping the list for the ninth consecutive year, the most dangerous countries in which to practice Christianity are overwhelmingly Islamic ones, according to the annual Open Doors World Watch List [PDF].”

Here are the 13 Worst Countries for Christian Persecution. Those with an asterisk * next to them also appeared in my previous Thursday 13 article, the 13 Most Dangerous Countries in the World for travelers.

Click on a country link for examples of Christian persecution in that country.

Country Percent Muslim
North Korea 0
Iran* 99
Afghanistan* 99
Saudi Arabia 100
Somalia* 100
Maldives 100
Yemen* 99
Iraq* 97
Uzbekistan 88
Laos 2
Pakistan* 97
Eritrea* 80
Mauritania* 100
Bhutan 0
Turkmenistan 89

It should be noted that of the top 50 worst offending countries on the World Watch List, almost 80% are Muslim-majority nations. Muslims are guilty of two related lies: that Muslims are persecuted in non-Muslim countries and that Christians are not persecuted in Muslim countries.

As bad and outrageous as it is that Muslim governments persecute Christians, it is even more an egregious insult that Western governments send your tax dollars to help these countries persecute even more Christians.

Blazing Cat Fur, Angry Indonesia Muslims Surround Homes Of Christians – Canada Sends Millions To Prop Up Thugocracy

Christian persecution in IndonesiaIndonesia is a CIDA “Country of Focus”, meaning millions of your tax dollars, 79 Million in 2009 alone, are being given to a country where attacks on the Christian minority by Muslims are a daily event. That’s some oversight.

This has been a Thursday 13 post [# 63] and is updated on some Thursdays.

WikiIslam, Lies in the Name of Islam

A Muslim women [sic] accused a Sydney Police Officer of “racism” and claimed he physically attempted to remove her veil during a routine traffic stop. In an emotional Channel 7 interview, she tearfully described the “fear” she felt when faced with this “angry” and “aggressive” officer who shouted at her. The police officer in question was later cleared of the charge when patrol car video footage proved he never once touched her and was polite throughout the exchange.

A Muslim leader who has fled the country, is sentenced to 2-years jail for making false accusations of being kidnapped from his home by anti-Muslim extremists who drove him into a forest and threatened him at knife-point to stop the Islamic prayer meetings he was holding.

A bus driver who was accused by two Muslim students of banning them from boarding a bus at Russell Square due to their Islamic dress (one was wearing a hijab and the other a niqab) is cleared of the charge after CCTV footage showed he had actually barred them from the bus for their abusive behaviour.

Only days after the 9/11 attacks, the Saudi Arabian-born ASU student “lied to cops about being assaulted and pelted with eggs in a parking lot while assailants screamed “Die, Muslim, die!” Nasim confessed to fabricating the attack when cops interviewed after he attempted a second hate crime hoax– in which he locked himself in a library restroom with the word “Die” written on his forehead, a plastic bag tied over his head, and a racist note stuffed in his mouth.”

How to Stop Lavishing Our Enemies With Money

Friday, May 27th, 2011

ACCORDING TO military strategists, if you can successfully concentrate force at the decisive point, you are likely to win the battle. For almost ten years we’ve been looking for the decisive point in the struggle against Islam’s relentless encroachment on the West. And we’ve finally found it.

The core of our problem is that orthodox Muslims in Iran and Saudi Arabia have far too much money to push their agenda. They’ve used that money to buy influence in the media and in American politics.

And the reason they have so much money is that they have a monopoly on America’s transportation fuel. Americans — the biggest buyers of oil in the world — have no choice in our fuel. We must buy gasoline. We are forced by our lack of choice to lavish our enemies with money.

This is it. This is the nub, the core, the pivot point of the global jihad.

Fuel choice is the decisive point. We must get the Open Fuel Standard Act of 2011 passed no matter what.

Right now, it is possible to pass this bill. But as Saudi money continues to infiltrate and influence American politics and media, there will soon come a time when we will find it impossible to pass an such a bill. The window of opportunity will be closed. Our situation is urgent.

Please join us in making this goal a reality. There are many ways you can help. Start here.

Please No tears for Dead Palestinians

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

Arafat screws up peace process 2000
Arafat – Camp David 2000

Arab warlords, tyrants and dictators have for more than six decades engaged in a clever sleight of hand, pointing to so-called Israeli aggression against the poor Palestinian people while they massacred millions in their own lands.

My readers may recall that Hafez Assad in 1982 had his troops massacre more than 30,000 Sunni Muslims in the city of Hama in Syria. Not a peep from the leftist media in our own country and not a single Arab government cried over the bloodshed.

When the Algerians were slaughtering each other in the 1990s to the tune of more than 150,000 dead, not a single Arab government cried over the bloodshed. Even Western governments closed their eyes to the slaughter.

In 2000, Ehud Barak offered Arafat 97 percent of the West Bank, full control of the Gaza Strip – which he offered to increase by roughly a third, a capital in East Jerusalem, billion in compensation to Palestinian refugees, and the right of return to the new Palestinian state. (1) But a Palestinian state would have meant the end of Arafat’s money train, of his role as a leader of the Palestinian people, and of his goal to destroy Israel.

Since the peace process was thwarted by Arafat , approximately 5,000 Palestinians have been killed by the hated Jews.

In that same period, Muslim and Arab governments have killed over 5 million people in Africa and the Middle East – or more than a thousand times as many as the poor Palestinians.

And which deaths do our liberal idiots and media focus on? If Muslims kill a thousand other Muslims, no one cares. If a Jew bumps into a Palestinian child, then accusations of “Genocide” and a “Crime against Humanity” is hurled against Israel, the UN denounces Israel for its atrocities, self-loathing Jews in America tear their shirts in the streets calling for an end to the State of Israel, and blah, blah, blah.

The Palestinians had a chance for a state, they chose terror. I no longer care if the whole of Gaza slides into the sea and the West Bank sinks into oblivion. I will shed no tears for dead Palestinians.

The Jewish Federations of North America, Myth and Fact: Arafat and Camp David

Fact

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak offered to withdraw from 97 percent of the West Bank and 100 percent of the Gaza Strip. In addition, he agreed to dismantle 63 isolated settlements. In exchange for the 5 percent annexation of the West Bank, Israel would increase the size of the Gaza territory by roughly a third.

Barak also made previously unthinkable concessions on Jerusalem, agreeing that Arab neighborhoods of East Jerusalem would become the capital of the new state. The Palestinians would maintain control over their holy places and have “religious sovereignty” over the Temple Mount.

According to U.S. peace negotiator Dennis Ross, Israel offered to create a Palestinian state that was contiguous, and not a series of cantons. Even in the case of the Gaza Strip, which must be physically separate from the West Bank unless Israel were to be cut into non-contiguous pieces, a solution was devised whereby an overland highway would connect the two parts of the Palestinian state without any Israeli checkpoints or interference.

The proposal also addressed the refugee issue, guaranteeing them the right of return to the Palestinian state and reparations from a billion international fund that would be collected to compensate them.

Israel also agreed to give the Palestinians access to water desalinated in its territory.

Arafat was asked to agree to Israeli sovereignty over the parts of the Western Wall religiously significant to Jews (i.e., not the entire Temple Mount), and three early warning stations in the Jordan valley, which Israel would withdraw from after six years. Most important, however, Arafat was expected to agree that the conflict was over at the end of the negotiations. This was the true deal breaker. Arafat was not willing to end the conflict. “For him to end the conflict is to end himself,” said Ross.
